INTERNATIONAL WATER SAFETY PROGRAM:

“KLAIARHOS, MARINA AND THE SHORT”

The Greek Lifesaving Sports Association launched the International Water Safety Program "KLAIARHOS, MARINA AND THE SHORT" that was endorsed by international organizations to prevent aquatic related injuries.

It is a new chapter of Greek Mythology, which satirizes with allegory and humor the battle of good and evil. It celebrates knowledge and faith that good ultimately triumphs. It promotes swimming and lifesaving sport as means of promoting health and preventing drowning. It was loved by the Mediterranean, European and global community. It is known as the “myth of the antonym”, because the words of the powerful man of history were the opposite of his deeds. It is suitable for children and adults. It is dedicated to those who dare to swim, defying the rules and without bowing down to sultans.
